  • Zip code: used to determine your USDA hardiness zone and frost dates. We do not collect GPS coordinates or track your precise location.
  • Seed packet photos: uploaded images are processed to extract planting data and are stored with your account.
  • Garden data: plants, gardens, locations, and planting events you create within the Service.
  • Payment information: payment details are processed and stored by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the Service, including generating planting timelines and recommendations.
  • To send email reminders and notifications you have opted into.
  • To process payments for paid subscriptions.
  • To respond to support requests.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with:

  • Stripe: for payment processing.
  • Service providers: infrastructure and hosting providers necessary to operate the Service.
  • Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

LizPlants uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure password hashing. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
