Any seed packet with planting information printed on it. Just snap a clear photo of the front and back, and we'll extract the details. It works with all major seed brands.
How do you calculate my planting dates?
We use your zip code to determine your USDA hardiness zone and average frost dates based on historical climate data. Your planting timeline is then calculated from your seed packet data and those frost dates.
Can I use this outside the United States?
Currently LizPlants is focused on US growing zones and frost data. International support is something we'd love to add in the future.
What if my seed packet is missing information?
No problem. If the packet doesn't include details like spacing or days to germination, we'll fill in typical values for that plant variety automatically.
Can I add plants manually without scanning?
Yes! You can add any plant by hand and fill in the planting details yourself. Scanning is just the fastest way to get started.
What's included in the free plan?

Do you collect my exact location?
No. We only ask for your zip code to determine your growing zone and frost dates. We never collect GPS coordinates, track your location, or share your data with third parties. Your privacy is a priority.
